Notes: CF-BRN c/n 112C was registered to David Gemmell in Stratford, Ontario on February 7, 1946 just 92 km flying from the Cub Aircraft factory. No original pictures exist for CF-BRN. A Stratford newspaper article of December 6, 1946, just 10 months after registration, shows Dr. Gemmell (misspelled "Gemmel" in the article) presenting a plan for a new airport - the Stratford Air Terminals Co. Limited - to the Junior Chamber of Commerce, confirming his ownership and his active role in local aviation. CF-BRN's slightly less than 4 years service life or "Total Time on Airframe (TTAF)" was uneventful until it was written off due to a violent windstorm at the Stratford Airport on January 13, 1950. ================================================================================================== Remarques: CF-BRN c/n 112C a été immatriculé au nom de David Gemmell à Stratford, en Ontario, le 7 février 1946, à seulement 92 km de vol de l'usine de Cub Aircraft. Aucune photo d'origine n'existe pour le CF-BRN. Un article du journal de Stratford du 6 décembre 1946, soit seulement 10 mois après l'immatriculation, montre le Dr Gemmell (nom mal orthographié « Gemmel » dans l'article) présentant un projet de nouvel aéroport – la Stratford Air Terminals Co. Limited – devant la Chambre de commerce junior, ce qui confirme qu'il en était le propriétaire et son rôle actif dans l'aviation locale. CF-BRN, sa durée de vie d'un peu moins de 4 ans ou « temps total cellule (TTAF) » s'est déroulée sans incident jusqu'à ce qu'il soit radié à la suite d'une violente tempête de vent à l'aéroport de Stratford le 13 janvier 1950. |
