Notes: CF-BUX c/n 109C was manufactured by Cub Aircraft Ltd. January 2, 1946. It was sold to J. Arbrick and H. McGuire, Ottawa, Ontario. On April 30, 1947 Curtiss-Reid Flying Service in Montreal, Quebec acquired CF-BUX. It remained in Quebec for the remainder of its undocumented parting out. So little is known about this aircraft and its demise. Consequentially it was never formally deleted by DoT and its 5008 file was never sent to LAC in Ottawa. This required an Access To Information request in 2018 to ask TC to locate any files. This request yielded a partial historical record of CF-BUX. 7.5% of manufactured Cub Aircraft suffered from the same issue. The image of CF-BUX is AI generated from a similar Cub Aircraft owned by Curtiss-Reid. A pilot logbook was also located for CF-BUX and coincidentally the same pilot flew CF-BUT days before its crash. Il est demeuré au Québec jusqu'à son démantèlement non documenté. On sait très peu de choses sur cet appareil et sur sa fin. Par conséquent, il n'a jamais été officiellement radié par le ministère des Transports (DoT) et son dossier 5008 n'a jamais été transmis à BAC à Ottawa. Cela a nécessité une demande d'accès à l'information en 2018 auprès de TC afin de localiser tout dossier existant. Cette demande a permis de retrouver un dossier historique partiel pour CF-BUX. 7,5 % des Cub Aircraft fabriqués ont connu le même sort. L'image de CF-BUX est générée par IA à partir d'un Cub Aircraft similaire appartenant à Curtiss-Reid. Un carnet de vol de pilote a également été retrouvé pour CF-BUX et, par coïncidence, le même pilote a piloté CF-BUT quelques jours avant son écrasement. Un sommaire d'accident 5002 pour CF-BUX est également tout ce qui subsiste. |
