Notes: CF-AZL c/n 793 was built at the Taylor Aircraft Company factory in Bradford, Pennsylvania, imported by Cub Aircraft Corp. Ltd. in July 1936 until it was sold to Aviaco in May 1937. CF-AZL was flown by Gordon B. Rayner, AME and part-owner of Cub Aircraft. It may have been used in their Flying School? Only one photograph exists and was published by the CAHS Journal Vol.4 No.1 in 1966. The photographer was Fred Hotson who grew up in Fergus ON. Fred graduated from an aircraft engineering course at Central Technical School in Toronto in 1935 and that explains the date on this photograph. CF-AZL is being used as a method to show how a magazine published photograph can be scanned then converted into a realistic coloured image.
