Notes: CF-BDB c/n C-1092 was registered in the French Canadian town of Shawinigan Falls, Quebec to Omer Rouette on 1937-04-26. After several accidents, one killing a spectator, CF-BDB was repaired and sold. After a brief stint in Toronto, CF-BDB was purchase by Pulsifer Bros Ltd in Waterville, Nova Scotia in 1945. It remained in Nova Scotia but seems to have languished. Its registration lapse and was sold and exported to the French island of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. The DoT 5008-BDB file was closed with no further details of CF-DBD's fate. There was no French civil aircraft registration but with today's technolgy, the history of CF-BDB, C-1092 has an interestig conclusion. Addendum: Fate after export: Purchased in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1951 by M. Émile Poirier, Chief Engineer of the S.S. MIQUELON, to recover its Continental A-40-4 engine. Poirier had built the first and only Pou-du-Ciel [Flying Flea, Mignet HM-14 / HM-290] in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, starting in 1948. Wings were built in the basement of the Saint-Pierre hospital by a carpenter friend, with permission of the Médecin-Chef, working after hours. Fuselage was built in Poirier's back kitchen. The Taylor's engine, Sensenich propeller, wheels and tail skid were fitted to the Pou. The Pou-du-Ciel never received flight authorization and never flew. Restored in 1999 by Michel Lorca and Jean-Claude Girardin, it now hangs proudly from the ceiling of the Saint-Pierre Pointe-Blanche Airport terminal and is part of the archipelago's heritage. Après un bref séjour à Toronto, CF-BDB a été acheté par Pulsifer Bros Ltd à Waterville, en Nouvelle-Écosse, en 1945. Il est demeuré en Nouvelle-Écosse mais semble y avoir été délaissé. Son immatriculation est devenue caduque et il a été vendu et exporté vers l'archipel français de Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. Le dossier 5008-BDB du ministère a été fermé sans autre détail sur le sort de CF-BDB. Aucune immatriculation civile française n'a été retracée, mais grâce à la technologie d'aujourd'hui, l'histoire de CF-BDB, C-1092 connaît une conclusion intéressante. Le fuselage a été construit dans l'arrière-cuisine de Poirier. Le moteur, l'hélice Sensenich, les roues et la béquille arrière du Taylor ont été adaptés sur le Pou. Le Pou-du-Ciel n'a jamais obtenu d'autorisation de vol et n'a jamais volé. Restauré en 1999 par Michel Lorca et Jean-Claude Girardin, il est aujourd'hui suspendu fièrement au plafond de l'aérogare de l'aéroport de Saint-Pierre Pointe-Blanche et fait partie du patrimoine de l'archipel.
